Nathan Fall Soccer 2013

This little boy can play soccer. This was his first year to play team sports. He loved the game, was really aggressive, and had so much fun. Im not sure he got that rules, that this side of the field is yours and this net it where your team scores. But he understand that you kick the ball into the net and you score.

He loved to play and did not like to sit out to give others a turn to play. But he took his turn, jumping up and down on the sidelines. And when the ball would come close to him where he was at on the sidelines, he would jump right in the game and help out. As soon as the ball was out of the area where he was supposed to be waiting on the side, he would come back over and wait. I tried to hold him back and explain he couldn't just join in on the game. But it didn't matter. he couldn't help it. He just HAD to just in and help out.

A kid kicked him in the knee. He came running to me to kiss it better. And get a band-aide. There wasn't blood, but the band-aide sure helped. The second I had the band-aid on him, he ran back into the game as if nothing had happened. It sure left a pretty big bruise later.

Spencer Soccer Fall 2013

I wish I was a woman of many words today, but I'm not. I realized I had not blogged about by kids in their Fall sports which dominated our lives in October and part of November.

Spencer played on a soccer team this fall. He loves to play soccer. Spencer loves to play any sport. He is super sweet but so competitive. He wants to be good at everything he tries. Not necessarily better than everyone else, but really good. If he isn't, he thinks and strategizes how he can get better. He enjoyed the game and practices and really looked forward to them. He was sad when the season was over and wanted to know when he could play the next sport.

Spencer was able to play on a team with his cousin Aaron (Eric's son, my brother) and Aaron's cousin, but not Spencer's cousin, Alex. Alex is Eric's wife Angela's sister's son who lives in the area.

Danielle Fall Soccer 2013

Danielle also played Fall sports this year. She was on a soccer team with her good friend, Lindsay. Danielle doesn't have a competitive bone in her body. At least I think. She liked playing the game and running around and being with her friends. But she really could care less if she won or lost the game. I think her team lost every game, which is probably why she didn't care.

I asked Danielle about a game I missed. Asked her how the game was. She said it was good and she played hard and had a lot of fun. I then asked her who won and she said the other team. I asked her if she knew the score. She said she did and it was something like 15-0. You've got to be kidding me! She had a great time, could care less that the other team creamed them! She wasn't there to win, she was there to have fun. And fun she had.

Camie Volleyball Fall 2013

Camie was on a Volleyball team this fall. She has been wanting to learn to play volleyball and so loved the game. She learned a lot, learned that she needed to learn a lot, but mostly enjoyed weekly practice and Saturday games with her friends. And it also helped that it went towards her 87 hours of off-campus-PE that she needed.

Camie Gets Her Ears Pierced

The date had come. The very long awaited date when Camie turned 12 and had permission to get her ears pierced. She was so excited. Beaming with happiness. Camie had wanted this for so long. And the time was finally here.

She chose her birthstone. And she has had so much fun having her ears pierced!
