Literally.
Today I was awesome. I ran my kids to school. I went to the gym and ran 5 miles. Ate a healthy lunch. Put in an hour working. Took the dog to get her shots at the vet. Rode my bike to school with Gavin in the trailer behind and got my kids home from school. Hot rolls in the oven, homemade soup, apple crisp baking in the oven.
Camie has off-campus PE. So I take her immediately from school and drop her off at the YMCA. I brought fresh rolls right out of the oven along with a steaming bowl of broccoli cheese soup.
As we were pulling out of the parking lot, Camie wasn't watching the bowl of soup she was holding in her hands, and dumped half of it right into her lap. I had a spare diaper in the car, so I handed it to her to sop up the mess. Damage was still done and her class started soon. So there was not time to run home and change. I told her to run into the Y and use a paper towel and wipe up the mess.
And then being silly, trying to make light of the situation, I offered her my pants. The ones I was wearing from earlier because I hadn't had a chance to shower. I didn't include that part because I was describing how awesome I was and that would convince you otherwise.
Camie looked at me and told me she really wanted to take me up on my pants offer. Seriously? Like, take my pants off and give them to you to wear and I wear only my ... Underwear?
She said yes.
So we pulled into the parking lot. I took off my shoes and then my pants and Camie did the same. Then she slipped on my pants and handed me her super nasty cheesy broccoli soup pants. That looked like vomit on them.
She was giggling, got out of the car, and went into the gym to her class.
And I drove home pantless.
Thankfully I park in the garage. I shut the garage door before I got out of the car. Then unloaded my other FIVE children out of the car that were horrified that I didn't have pants. (No, I wasn't naked!). I ran upstairs and got dressed.
A true mother. I would literally do anything for my kids. And they better remember that I did!
