Roller Coaster Pictures & We Lost Nathan

We took the kids to Disneyland while we were in California. And we LOVED Disneyland. The older kids loved California Adventure. We rode the California Screaming over and over and over. We rode it so many times that the kids figured out where the camera was and started posing for the camera. And then we would run to the screens to see the pictures and I would take a picture of the screen. I combined the pictures with a little app on my phone. We had so many pictures of the pictures. Too many. So many that we would never really look at them. So I simplified and made it fun to see.

I was surprised Spencer liked the roller coaster. He is 7 and barely legal to even ride it. And he LOVED it. Camie refused to ride it in the beginning because this roller coaster went upside down. The least of the scary parts of the roller coaster, but the part that she assumed would be too scary. In fact, she set out the first turn around. I left her would Gavin and Nathan.

And my number that I wrote on my kids arms? It came in handy. Camie was watching Nathan so well that she didn't even know he was missing. I had just got off the roller coaster and was looking for Camie in the place we left her. She wasn't there, so I got out my phone to call her when I noticed I had a missed call and a text from some stranger saying that she had found Nathan and was waiting over by the merry-go-round. I ran to them. I was so thankful a nice lady had found him, he had been crying. And then I called Camie and she still didn't realize he was even gone. It wasn't until I found Camie (and I had Nathan with me at that point) that she realized Nathan was missing. Looks like I won't be leaving Camie babysitting at a public place for a very long time. She felt bad, it was an accident. But not one I want repeated.
