Easter
We spent Easter out at the ranch with cousins. We planned on riding 4-wheelers and being outdoors, but the cold weather definitely changed our plans. We had a great time indoors and the girls played hard with their cousins. They built indoor forts, played games, and watched movies. We really enjoy getting together with family.
I sewed and sewed and sewed some more. Taneal's Easter dress was in her favorite color, blue.
Camie's favorite color is not orange, but I loved this fabric so much. She looked so beautiful and was quite excited to wear "high heels"!
Danielle is as cute as ever. She loves pink and picked out her shoes. I finished her dress in February, so she impatiently waited until Easter to wear it.
Spencer is so grown up! This is his first tie. He didn't seem to even notice he was wearing it. I felt like I needed to make him something, but Evan was pretty adamant about not dressing Spencer up. He says he lets me dote on the girls, but I was not to mess with his boy!
Of course, Easter pictures are to be taken outdoors with flowers. The weather would not allow, so as soon as it warms up, we will do an Easter picture retake, somewhere in the beautiful flowers.

Baseball Season in Full Swing!

Taneal started the baseball season playing on the Cardinals with machine pitch. She hits the ball quite often, and that machine sure pitches those balls fast! She still is pretty nervous about the ball coming at her, but is doing a great job!
Camie is a star player on the Cardinals t-ball team. She sure has some power behind her hits. She still has a hard time focusing on the game when she isn't hitting. I think she spent most of her time with her mitt over her face trying to peek through the holes, or inspecting the dirt through the grass whever she happened to be standing. If started to feel better as a mom when the coach had to say her name atleast twenty time before she heard him. I'm not the only one she tunes out! T-ball sure is a fun game to watch.Sunday, March 18, 2007
St. Patrick's Day
St Patrick's Day is a lot of fun in our home. We start out by decorating treasure boxes. If you put a box out under the light of the moon with the lid open on the eve of St Patrick's Day, leprechauns have to fill your box with their treasure! Well, we tried this and it worked! The morning of St PAtrick's Day is so exciting! The leprechauns came!

Another St Patricks Day tradition is to wear green and eat green. For breakfast we had green eggs and green pancakes with green milk. Lunch we had green apples and green grapes (with regular sandwiches). For supper we had green oven baked chicken (which was very tasty but looked . . . green), green mashed potatoes, and a green salad with green punch. We topped out the evening with green snickerdoodles!
Taneal's a "snaggle tooth"
Spencer is crawling!

A Day at the Zoo
We hadn't been to the zoo in quite a while, so I decided to pull Taneal out of school and all of us go for the day. The night before I asked each of the girls to decide which 3 animals they wanted to make sure they saw. Taneal wanted to see the elephants, alligators, and snakes. Camie wanted to see the Giraffes, Gorillas, and Hippos. Danielle wasn't sure what all this zoo and animal talk was about, but she decided she wanted to see monkeys. The anticiaption was definately there. They suprisingly slept well, but were up and dressed at the crack of dawn hurring me out of bed. They were s
o excited. We arrived at the zoo and the weather couldn't have been better. There weren't any crouds, so we picked the perfect day to be at the zoo. After about four hours we had seen all the animals on our lists and many, many more. The kids were on their best behavior, even Spencer. They were ready for another round and pretty adamant about it. The problems was that Camie could no longer walk, her legs were aching so she insisted on riding in the wagon. Same with Taneal. I decided it was time to go home. They resisted a little, but after I assured them we would be back some time in the future, the happily agreed to go
home. They were tucked into bed and asleep by 7pm. What a fun day!

Camie learns to ride her bike
She has become VERY good at riding her bike and even likes to "wiggle" as she rides fast! She scares me. I am glad she willingly uses her helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads because I am sure they will save her from many scrapes.
Taneal's Birthday
