Getting ready for the ride to school

Reteaching a child to ride a bike is not an easy task. Especially when that child is SURE they don't know how and you know they know how because you've seen them do it. Because you spent hours teaching them how to do it.

School starts soon and Nathan got a new bike for his birthday. I thought we'd go try it out and see how the ride to school would be.

It didn't go so well going. Nathan pretty much freaked out the while way and make me touch him on the back the entire run. It was a run because when he got going too slow, he tipped. And running in the humid heat is brutal. Even in the evening.

The going was not so good. But the going home was much better. He only made me hold onto him around the curves.

A few more practice runs and I hoping he will have this down.

At least down enough to get him to and from school with Gavin, my 2 year old. Who I have to stay right by Gavin. Gavin doesn't ride very fast. Just a plain difficult situation that will be receiving lots of prayer to help remedy the situation.
